Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Systems Analyst to join our Finance, Strategic Planning and Corporate Services Division based in either Leeds or London!
As the Finance Systems Analyst, you will lead the development, maintenance and administration of our finance systems. Although experience of our current systems is advantageous, we know that one general ledger operates much like another and so we know you will be able to pick it up easily.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our systems are fit for purpose and that we are utilising all available functionality. This will include building and enhancing our internal financial reporting and collaborating with the wider business, including senior stakeholders, to provide relevant data.
This role sits under MPS’ ‘Hybrid Persona’ meaning there will be a blend of home and office-based working, to suit you and the needs of the business. This is typically 1-2 days per week on-site.

A range of shopping discounts from major high-street retailers. Main ResponsibilitiesAs our new Finance Systems Analyst, you will:
Conduct the day-to-day administration and maintenance of key finance systems, collaborating across divisional teams
Build and enhance existing reporting, direct from key finance systems, to support wider business activities
Support the department in setting and delivering operational budgets, ensuring an efficient and effective operating model which minimises cost and maximises contribution
Own the financial controls within key finance systems, ensuring these controls are documented and tested on a regular basis.The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for individuals who have:
Knowledge of financial and/or management accounting
Strong organisation and planning skills
Ability to troubleshoot and identify business and technical issues
Proven experience in delivering technical solutions.
