Job Description
Assistant Financial Controller
3 Positions available in either Gloucester or Staines London
Full time/Part time – 6-12 Month Contract
Salary – £30,000-£45,000

Job Purpose
The role is key to ensure the financial control over operational transactions is maintained and that internal/external reporting is completed to a high standard
Responsibilities
To ensure that recording of accounting entries and financial control performance are completed correctly, accurately and to deadlines
Accountabilities
Accountable for:
• A key resource in the monthly financial reporting cycle
• Process journal entries within the SAP general ledger system.
• Reconciliation of Balance Sheet Accounts
• Assisting with the provision of information for a variety of external & internal audits
• Maintain compliance with the set of SOX controls applied to departmental operations
• To assist in the production of monthly VAT reporting
• Any other ad hoc duties and project work as directed by the financial controller.
Person Specification
Qualifications & Previous Experience
* Minimum 2 years finance team experience
Knowledge & Skills
* MS Excel – Intermediate Level
* Familiar with Sarbanes Oxley requirements
* SAP Finance Module
Competencies
* Strong communication skills.
* Ability to be flexible/adapt to ensure reporting deadlines are met
* Accuracy and attention to detail
* Challenges the status quo and accepts change readily.
* Ability to accept finance related control/process changes
