Job Description
Finance Support Operational Manager

Redhill, Surrey (Hybrid working)

£35-38,000 plus good benefits package

Leading financial services company require a Finance Support Operational Manager to lead and manage the Financial Management team to ensure the timely delivery, accuracy and validity of stakeholder objectives in line with regulatory requirements whilst motivating and developing the Financial Management team to maximise performance.
This person will also be responsible for the day-to-day management, control and reconciliation of all company bank and cash control accounts; the provision of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable services; the investigation and allocation of unallocated cash and the processing and payment of funds (£millions) to manufacturers and third parties.

Responsibilities will include:
*Managing a team of 8 staff who are responsible for the daily and monthly servicing and reconciliation of bank accounts, accounts payable and treasury processes
*Ensuring all service levels are performed to a high standard
*Monitoring, analysis, and submission of quality assurance data to stakeholders
*Managing relationships and influencing key stakeholders across the business and collaborating with other teams as required
*Identifying and implementing areas for process and systems improvement
*Work with annual objectives and respond to changing business conditions
*Identifies training needs and delivers appropriate material as necessary in respect of team progression
*Deputising for HOD – represents department and may deputise in Committee meetings. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
*Involvement in the development procedures and standards of the department and the business over a short-term horizon
*Ensure recommendations of internal/external auditors are implemented
*Ensure business continuity plans reflect current work set-up and the recovery plan is effectively communicated to all relevant staff
*Effective development and succession plans in place to enable cross-functional moves
*Contributes to the budget and headcount control for the departmental cost centre within the function
*To lead projects or participate in cross-functional projects to implement new or amend existing working practices/processes
*Communicate both verbally and in writing, complex and/or difficult messages effectively to different audiences tailoring the approach
*Maintains strategic awareness, developing strategies, project plans and methodologies that involve agreeing customer objectives and assigning resources

What we're looking for:
*Previous experience in the Financial Services industry and a solid understanding of relevant policy/regulatory/legislative issues
*Previous experience in managing and leading a high performing operational team in Financial Services
*Ability to influence stakeholders demonstrating personal resilience in challenging circumstances to achieve positive outcomes
*Experience meeting tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
*Confident in own ability and proactively seeks to improve and develop knowledge and skills within own specialist area
*Able to work with complex information at all levels, making it simple
*Recommends new systems and processes as requested and required
*A strong team player contributing effectively to teams, supporting a positive environment and encouraging collaboration within the department
*Displays positive attitude welcoming different perspectives, ensuring these are included and valued
*Offers support to work together sharing ideas to solve problems
*Experience in successful project implementations
