Finance Manager Job in Sunderland, Tyne & Wear

Job Description
Heels and Brogues group are currently working with a large commercial cleaning company that operate throughout England and Scotland. They're looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to fill a temporary Finance Manager position. If successful you would report to our finance Director within the Sunderland Head office. In this role you’ll play a key part in ensuring that our business’s financial objectives and reports are accurate in relation to costs, spends, budgets etc.

The Role

Position – Finance Manager

Salary – £17.95 p/h

Full time, 9-5 Monday to Friday.

Temporary ongoing position until January 2023 (Potential extension, Although not guaranteed)

Responsibilities:

* Lead and direct the financial team to ensure the company and departmental KPI’s are met.

* Ensuring compliance to all legal requirements that are defined by HMRC and other statutory bodies.

* Lead on the finance plan preparation for annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and monthly outlook.

* Own the integrity of supporting data that supports the company.

* Provide accurate and timely financial reports as required by the business, provide information and present to MD and FD.

* Ensure the finance team are fully competent through training and appropriate certification / qualifications.

* Work closely with other departmental heads to continually improve the quality of service and ultimately the business performance.

* Work with and support the other senior managers to ensure that the business objectives are met.

* Facilitate employee development reviews for the team through the performance manager tool and ensure regular reviews / feedback takes place to help the team achieve their goals and development plans.

* Participate in scheduled and adhoc management meetings and organise regular team meetings to support communications.

* Manage employee performance through the appropriate forums and systems.

The Ideal Candidate will demonstrate the following:

* CIMA / AAT qualified (preferable) or QBE.

* Minimum 2 years management experience.

* Knowledge and experience of sage.

* Experience of managing a small team.

* It literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft packages and processes.

* Self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Conscientious, methodical, and able to work under own initiative.

* Task orientated with the ability to build effective relationships.
