Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager on behalf of a leading manufacturer of pharmaceutical engineering equipment.
The Finance Manager will be responsible for financial accounting, controlling, tax planning and day-to-day supervision of the company.
Supporting the Managing Director, this role provides high quality information and professional advice to the operation and will also act as project leader for the ERP system implementation.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Completing the monthly financial closing according to the UK accounting standards, improving the quality of accounting information, and ensuring the financial statements reasonably and truthfully reflect the profitability and financial status.
* Converting the financial statements from UK accounting standards into international financial reporting standards and issuing JV consolidated statements and monthly analysis reports in accordance with IFRS.
* Analysing the financial status and managing annual KPIs, promoting the operating improvement by financial data, and achieving annual target KPI’s.
* Responsible for the annual budget and 3-5 years strategic plan, guiding the business leaders to plan and integrate the business model,
* Staff cost and capital planning in advance for the next 3-5 years, setting and defining the business development goals for leaders by data quantification method, and using this as the basis for the performance evaluation.
* Ensuring the safety and efficiency of assets
* Ensuring tax declaration complying with UK taxation law and making sure that the declaration is timely and accurate.
* Responsible for R&D tax claims.
* Effectively completing the annual audit work,
* Communicating and information sharing with corporate finance team and other departments.
* Communicating with local statutory auditors, bank, customs and tax bureau.
Experience and Qualifications
* Recognised qualification bachelor’s degree or above in accounting major (MBA is a plus), Qualified as an accountant, auditor, or certified public accountant (CIMA/CMA/CA is a plus)
* Extensive and demonstrable experience in financial management, and has experience working as a financial manager in a large or middle-sized multinational corporation
* Have been trained in accounting, finance, security analysis and investment, project financing, economic law, etc.
* Experience working in a Manufacturing environment is desirable
* Experience of following quality management system procedures.
* Experience of working with companies in Asia would be beneficial but not essential.
