Job Description
A fabulous opportunity has arisen for a finance manager to join this marketing and design company based in Great Amwell. This position has scope for an excellent career path in the coming years.
The key function of this role is to analyse financial information and work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to implement effective strategies to enhance overall business performance.
The successful candidate will have overall accountability for preparing, developing and applying findings from financial reports. Responsibilities include maintaining financial policies and management information systems, preparing monthly and annual management accounts alongside establishing effective communication channels to inform the Senior Leadership Team on all aspects of Group and Company finance.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure that company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth
* Seek out methods and practices to minimise financial risk
* Update and implement financial policies and procedures
* Take overall control of the group’s accounting function
* Liaise closely with the Australian finance team/accountants to ensure accurate financial reporting across the group
* Present accurate and reliable Group consolidated management accounts and individual UK Company management accounts, to the Senior Leadership Team, on a monthly basis
* Prepare the Company’s annual accounts pack for independent review and be responsible for any queries
* Ensure budgeting processes are carried out and reviewed
* Analysing expenditure and ensuring it is in line with budgets
* Take responsibility for both group and company cash management policies
* Ensure all the company's financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation
* Process and review monthly UK Company payroll
* Oversee company VAT return submissions and compliance
* Responsible for compliance with HMRC re Employment Taxes and VAT returns
* Responsible for all submissions and compliance with the Pension Provider
* Responsible for analysing financial information to assist business profitability and growth
* Working closely with Account Directors and responsible for financial data analysis for the monthly Client dashboards
* Working with the Growth Director to assist with completion of the financial aspects of RFPs.
* Responsible for the communication of financial information to the Company team of finance and non-finance professionals
* Create and maintain relationships with service providers and contractors, including banking institutions and accountants
* Demonstrate commercial knowledge of the marketing industry to facilitate strategic decisions
* Lead and develop the finance team
* Establish and implement a training program for finance employees and carry out regular appraisals (both formal and informal).
Attributes and Experience required:

• Be able to demonstrate excellent Microsoft Office Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organisational skills
