Finance Assistant
The Role
The role of the Finance Assistant is to support the Business Manager in providing financial administration activities to support the needs of the business.
Key Contributions and Outputs
* Carrying out all bookkeeping and financial duties in support of business income and expenditure
* Ensuring (with the Business Manager) the business remains on top of all financial analysis and reporting
* Liaising with all external 3rd parties in connection with accounting and financial information and data
* Developing and maintaining internal relationships to help maintain business flow and meet agreed targets
* Promoting the profile of the business within the profession and wider communities
* Continuous professional development to meet personal development needs.
Nature and scope of contributions
Reports to: Business Manager
Direct Reports: None
The role holder is responsible for:
* Carrying out accounts reconciliation
* Recording and reconciling commission receipts
* Accounts payable
* Overseeing Payroll
* Monitoring and managing debtors and creditors
* Business banking
* Recording, reconciling, reporting and paying expenses
* Scheduling and setting reminders for bill and rent payments either by direct debit or one-off payments
* Managing and maintaining financial office filing management and reporting systems
* Communicating financial information to the Business Manager
* Individual workflow and task delivery.
The role holder may from time to time be required to undertake reasonable additional or other duties as are necessary to meet the needs of the business
