Job Description
Finance Assistant – Accounts Payable – 9 month FTC
Salary: up to £25K dependant on experience
Location: Aylesbury with hybrid working arrangements
This is a great opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join a £200m division of a major company. This role is initially offered as a 9 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.
As Finance Assistant, you will support the Accounts Payable function as well as the Accounts Department.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Ensuring all invoices are processed on a timely basis
* General ledger coding of non-purchase order invoices
* Manually posting invoices / credit notes to the Bought Ledger
* Matching / inputting invoices to purchase orders and resolving queries
* Dealing with suppliers including any invoice queries and reconciling their statements
* Talking to managers to resolve invoice queries
* Keeping month end spreadsheets updated and accurate
To be successful in this role candidates must have the following skills and attributes:
* Ideally a minimum of 2 years' experience in an Accounts Payable role
* Experience in payment runs
* Balance Sheet experience
* Excellent organisation and communications skills
* Experience of using MS Office including Word, Excel & Outlook
