Job Description
We are recruiting for an experienced Credit Controller to join a friendly, well-established company based on the outskirts of St Albans.

Key responsibilities:

* Daily monitoring of open invoices

* Forecasting cash flow

* Developing regular contact and good relationships with customers

* Checking customer credit ratings and applying for insured cover

* Negotiating re-payment plans

* Entering daily banking into the system

* Providing account information to internal departments

* Creating Processes procedures, policies, and reports that ensure timely payment

* Resolving queries internally and externally around payments and outstanding invoices

* Regular aged debt meetings with colleagues and management

* Preparing statements, client status reports and other relevant information

* Chasing payment. Resolving payment queries and disputes

* Putting customers on stop. Taking customers off stop

* Reviewing requests to override or review customer credit accounts

* Reconciliation of aged debt accounts

* General support and advice on credit control matters if required by Accounts Receivable Team

What the employer is looking for:

* Prior experience in a credit control role

* Calm, confident persona with the ability to handle difficult conversations

* Experience with SAP / Sage is beneficial but not essential

* Intermediate to Experienced Excel skills

* GCSE Mathematics and English: A to C grades
