Credit Controller

Permanent Opportunity

£22,000 – £27,000
Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:30

Our client based in Northampton City Centre, is looking for a Credit Controller to join their fast-growing company with the ability to work within a fast-paced environment, as part of a team and autonomous. The credit controller manages outstanding payments ensuring the company is paid on time and adheres to compliance standards.

Main Responsibilities/duties:
– Ensure that all outstanding debts are pursued and collected in accordance with procedures
– Developing and maintaining credit control program in collaboration with Associate/Managing Directors
– Report any payment problems to the relevant team
– Setting up direct debits, issuing court proceedings, sending invoices/statements
– Seek out opportunities to improve process, procedures and controls
– Liaising with clients and internal staff
– Build and maintain strong relationships with clients

Candidate Requirements:
– At least 2 years previous experience as a Credit Controller
– Familiar with accounting software's such as CH/Quick-Books/Sage/Xero
– A good understanding of legal complexities involved in payment plans, interest rates and other financial matters
– Excellent communication skills
