Credit Control – Temp to Perm

Our client is seeking a Credit Controller to support a busy Finance team, the role will include chasing payments and resolution of account queries to specified timescales.
Key responsibilities for the job;
* Daily management of an assigned group of customer accounts, ensuring that all information pertaining to each individual debt is up to date, and accurately reflects the position of the customer’s outstanding balance.
* Pro-active collection of outstanding debt in accordance with pre-defined credit terms.
* Ensure all customer records are up to date and queries recorded
* Ensure day to day information and communication with external debtors is recorded on the Credit Control system.
* Requirement to deal with potentially difficult and sensitive situations relating to the collection of outstanding debts.
* Monitoring and negotiating instalment plans in line with the credit policy and procedures.
* Ensuring debt collection targets and office weekly and monthly KPI’s are achieved
* Liaise with staff & external customers at all levels to resolve queries by telephone, email and face to face regarding the status of the customers’ accounts
* Ensuring customers receive appropriate debt letters.
* To ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act at all times in respect of debtor accounts.
* Raising sales ledger adjustment documents to correct errors on customers’ accounts
Key skills required for the job;
* You will have previously worked within a credit control
* The ability to prioritise your workload
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
* Strong level of numeracy
* Excellent team player
* Strong MS Office skills
This role is key and you will need to have experience in credit control with a confident telephone manner and be able to hit the ground running. The role is to start as soon as possible on a temporary to permanent basis.
