Job Description
Our client, a rapidly expanding global logistics and freight forwarding company, specialising in providing comprehensive services for the movement of high- niche market products via air, sea and road, are looking to recruit a Credit Controller to based in their head office within the Heathrow Area.

Main Purpose of the Role:
Reporting to the Finance Director, as the Credit Controller the successful candidate will play a major role in maximizing revenue and mitigating credit risk and will collaborate with the sales department and operations team to implement an effective credit control system. Experience interacting and working with customers is important to ensure their needs are met and their credit fits in with the current risk portfolio.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Managing customer accounts by ensuring any issues and queries were dealt with professionally and resolved quickly & efficiently ensuring no Payment Delays
* Reducing Debts and DSO to a Target Minimum per month
* Ensuring targets are met and collections are received in a timely manner
* Preparing analysis of bad debts including making recommendations to the Finance Director for proposed bad debt write offs
* Responsible for reconciliation of all accounts receivable general ledger accounts for the month end close process
* Weekly Bank reconciliations in multi-currency
* Monthly FX re-valuations to reconcile to Trial Balance
* Producing daily reports for cash flow forecasting, reports for the Finance Director and ad-hoc reports.
* Responsible for setting up customer credit accounts and ensuring customer accounts are not exceeding the credit limit
* Identifying accounts that required special resolutions by consulting the Sales Representative and or escalating to management for reasonable resolution
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer details and account records.
* Assessing the credit-worthiness of newly proposed and existing customers
* Experience with invoice financing and achieving collection targets
To Be Considered:
* Ideally experience gained within the freight forwarding or FMCG industry
* Must have experience working as a Credit Controller
* Must have experience handing a minimum of 500 accounts on AR
* A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, Mathematics, or a related field
* Excellent teamwork, organization, and communication skills
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
* Proven track record of making successful credit decisions
* Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
* Familiarity with data entry and analysis
* Ability to work under pressure
