Job Description
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Claims Team Leader to join us at our offices located in Colchester. If you have a background in team supervision and have superior knowledge of commercial claims processes, having worked in a similar type of role and are looking to join a fast-growing Chartered insurance broker, who is committed to supporting your professional development, Aston Lark may be the place for you.

This role offers the opportunity to provide first line supervision to our claims team, to support, coach and challenge team members to realise their potential and develop their skills. To ensure we are delivering a professional service to our clients.

We offer a blend of working between our Colchester office and your own home for this position.

What will you be doing:

Providing first line supervision to the Claims team.
Ensure that all members of the team are, and remain, FCA compliant and competent for their roles
Challenge and innovate – consider new processes and check that existing processes are efficient and effective
Carry out regular audits & provide structured feedback
Carry out regular performance reviews and 121s and encourage individuals to develop their skills
Be the first escalation point for service-based issuesYou need to bring with you:

Experience of commercial claims processes and compliance to relevant processes is essential
Prior experience of leading and motivating teams, preferably within a claims / broking environment
Working knowledge of all the main classes of General Insurance and GDPR, FCA / FOS and the CII's Code of Ethics
Minimum of 2 years' experience in providing specialist advice in the insurance market is desirable
Cert CII qualification is desirableWe can offer you:
