What you’ll be doing
A brand new opening has been created within our Wholesale Services department.  We are looking for a Business Planning and Tariffing Manager to be responsible for the development and control of the Wholesale Services budgetary and forecast cycles.

The Business Planning and Tariffing Manager will be managing the coordination of corporate financial processes, working with key stakeholders to design effective budget models to enable effective delivery of our strategic objectives.
You the Business Planning and Tariffing Manager you will be responsible for leading the planning cycles, and implementation of effective process to improve deliverability to meet our commitments.

As the Business Planning and Tariffing Manager you will be supporting the Programme Business Planning Manager with preparing, defining, and supporting strategic plans in partnership with Finance and other key senior stakeholders.  You will be supporting in the producing the annual update for New Connections Tariff calculations and charging arrangements documents, ensuring compliance with Ofwat’s rules through liaison with legal and regulatory teams and obtaining Wholesale Services management and Board sign-off.

This position will see you:
Monitoring and analyse performance and financial information, initiating controls to ensure all operations are on schedule and within budget.
Working across the Programme Planning and Performance team in constructing detailed expenditure and budget reports with appropriate analysis
Maintaining forecast profiles and responding to queries on budget related issues as required
Being responsible for creating, analysing, and controlling the Wholesale Services production plan, supporting the delivering teams in achieving budgeted costs
Working closely with delivery functions to gain realistic forecasting to meet overall programme demands
Consistently developing and managing processes for monitoring and tracking progress against Wholesale Services plans, ensuring appropriate reporting is delivered to the leadership team
Managing stock ordering, warehousing, and distribution activities of our service deliverersWhat you should bring to the role
It is envisaged that the Business Planning and Tariffing Manager will have past working experience within a similar role, experienced with forecasting, compiling and managing data.

You’ll have strong financial background with sound understanding and proven experience of using forecasting and data analytics methods.  You will have credible planning skills and will be used to working with budget and finance tools and have good MS Excel skills

You’ll be comfortable and display confidence in presenting budget and fiscal data to different audiences and will be able to build a strong network and engage with varied key stakeholders.

You will have proven past success in designing and implementing effective processes and procedures, with good practical planning and statistical experience. You will have effective problem-solving skills and a strong ability to multi-task, working across various projects simultaneously
