Job Description
TEXO Recruitment are advertising the above role on behalf of a highly reputable and well known organisation. The role is to be based within their Aberdeen Head Office.

The Purpose of the Role:

Within this role, you will play a key role in supporting assistant managers and managers in the delivery of quality client work.

You will be helping to add value to our work and successfully completing assignments.

You will be attending client meetings, gathering information and data and agreeing the best way to present outcomes and findings.

A good understanding of business disciplines is required along with the ability to apply technology to your work.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

* Executing planning and completion of audit work in line with internal processes and procedures and due consideration of resources and budget, with guidance

* Taking responsibility for planning, fieldwork and completion of audits, taking a key role in the audit team, managing delivery expectations and highlighting any issues at an early stage

* Identifying and undertaking more complex audit areas during fieldwork stage, with guidance, and referring queries to more senior members of the audit team

* Attending planning and clearance meetings, taking an active role the meeting preparation, contributing to discussion and answering queries where appropriate, both from audit team and reviewing draft accounts, issue to client and deal with any queries arising, with guidance

* Demonstrating the ability to act as the client’s main point of contact on site during audit fieldwork, dealing with queries and identifying areas where other service lines could provide support

* Managing work delegated to junior members of the team whilst still being responsible for overall delivery to meet deadlines

* Demonstrating an understanding of recoveries, quotes provided for work, lock up, scope creep and WIP

* Initiating fee preparation and be able to undertake complex WIP analysis

Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required

* A professional accountancy qualification – ACCA/ICAS or equivalent

* Newly qualified or part qualified considered

* Previous experience of working in a similar role

* Experience of a client facing role

* Strong communication skills – both written and oral

* Ability to work on own initiative and to tight deadlines

* Self-motivated, with an ability to develop ideas into practice
