Job Description
The SF Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Interim Assistant Financial Accountant for their client based in Nottingham for on 6 month temporary basis The role will work within a highly reputable manufacturing business. First class working facilities and environment offered, Hybrid working from home and free on site car parking. The role is to support the timely and accurate reporting of the entity/entities in scope, with particular focus on the balance sheet, and to ensure that robust procedures and controls are in place.

Key Responsibilities:

Reconcile all balance sheet accounts within assigned entity on a monthly basis, including sub-ledger to GL reconciliations
Ensure supporting evidence of balances and timely clearance of reconciling items
Escalate any areas of risk or non-compliance to management
Month-End Duties
Processing of all transactions within scope of Shared Services, including accruals and prepayments
Ensure Control file completion and review as required
Process all intercompany transactions for assigned entity
Ensure monthly agreement and settlement of inter-company balances
Ensure compliance with Minimum Control Standards (MCS)
Maintain fixed asset register and capital expenditure tracking
Ensure correct asset categorisation
Support physical asset verification visits at sites, as required
Comply with year-end reporting instructions
Support external audit for Group Reporting & Statutory Audit, as required by management, ensure accurate and timely submission of audit requests
Complete annual Tax Pack information for Group Tax, resolve queries in an accurate and timely manner
Submit weekly cash collection figures
Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with reporting guidelines
Support divisional finance with P&L reports, budget & forecast information
Support Accounts Payable team with Vendor Master set up for segregation of duties
Strong business partnership with all areas of the business
Identify process improvement opportunities to drive efficiency within the business
Support and contribute to cross department initiatives and collaborate to support the evolution of the Shared Service Centre to 'best in class'
▪Other adhoc duties and responsibilities as requested by the Management Team
