Assistant Accountant Job in Everton, Central Bedfordshire
Job Description
Alexander Steele continues to work with one of the UK’s leading food manufacturers and due to growth, they have asked us to assist them in finding an Assistant Accountant to join their Finance team at their office in Bedfordshire.
On offer:
• Salary of £25,000 to £28,000 depending on experience
• Working Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm

The role:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, as Assistant Accountant you will support in providing commercial finance support to the wider business whilst ensuring that all regulatory and legal requirement are met.
• SAGE maintenance data
• Assisting in month end – P&L, logistics, staff and lease car costs, accruals and payments, balance sheet reconciliations, debtors and creditors ledger, sales, commission and rebate calculations.
• Back board reporting for Capital Expenditure
• support with process improvement projects for the finance team
• Supporting with invoice financing submissions
• Monthly Returns
• Processing expenses and BACS payments
• Accounting analysis
The Candidate:
• A minimum of 1 years experience in a similar role
• Advanced Microsoft application (Excel, Word and outlook)
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Be able to communicate effectively at all levels
• SAGE experience is desirable but not essential
