Job Description
Avenue are currently recruiting an Accounts Senior for a well established client in the Central Glasgow area. This is a Permanent Role.

Candidate:

A solid understanding of accountancy and bookkeeping to engage with clients and their bookkeeping systems.
To produce draft accounts and draft corporation tax computations, using IRIS software and to include the following:

Bank reconciliations
Balance sheet reconciliations
Control of nominal ledger
Accruals and prepayments
A thorough knowledge of how to prepare quarterly VAT returns
The ability to prepare accounts for clients
A track record in the preparation of a complete accounts file supporting the draft accounts they have prepared
Experience of working in an accounting practice for the last five years
Experience of using Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, Dext and other cloud-accounting systems
An understanding of payroll and the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS)
