Job Description
Paying circa £35K with excellent benefits including a true hybrid work model, this progressive and growing Manchester headquartered organisation is looking for a strong Accounts Payable/Transactions Manager. This will be a pivotal appointment to mentor and manage the AP/AR team while doing a root and branch redesign of the payables/ transactional processing function.

THE ROLE

As an experienced AP Manager, you will be responsible for effective and efficient management and day-to-day activities of the AP and AR Team. Improving processes and procedures and building/developing a high-performing team that interacts effectively internally with stakeholders and efficiently with external suppliers, ensuring the smooth and accurate running of this key aspect of the finance function.

Key responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implementation of effective procedures and controls with the payables function

Ensuring timely and accurate record keeping of all supplier transactions

Maintaining robust record-keeping and analysis of the teams performance

Support the development of an effective PO system and roll out across the organisation

Manage and oversee the payment run process to key SLAs and supplier terms

Inspire, lead and develop the team

Develop & monitor team performance delivery through effective KPIs

Proactively supporting all areas of the business in developing their understanding of financial transactions

THE PERSON

You will be an experienced Transactional Finance Team Leader or Manager, with a strong focus on payables

You will be adept at improving processes and procedures, effecting change to ensure efficient and accurate service delivery

You will have an eye for detail and be motivated to improve the team’s performance, to enhance the function's ability to deliver a quality service

An advocate for change and continuous improvement, you will challenge and mentor both the team and other key stakeholders
