Job Description
THE COMPANY
A business based in Walsall centre are looking for an Accounts Assistant to cover a 12-month maternity leave.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be responsible for the purchase ledger from start to finish, processing invoices, dealing with supplier statements and payment of invoices. Dealing with credit notes and reconciling credit card and bank statements and dealing with all queries. Some chasing of payment and handling petty cash and general administration. You will also process subcontract payments and deal with the CIS tax scheme. You will work on Sage and collate all hours and timesheets for a monthly payroll, distribution payslips and dealing with any payroll queries.
REQUIREMENTS
You will have 2 years related experience in a similar role, excellent oral and written communication skills. Good organisational and administration skills along with excellent attention to detail. You will have the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines and have proven problem-solving and analytical skills. Experience with using excel spreadsheets to a basic level would be an advantage and using Sage accounts system to register invoices. You will be available to start work in September and working from an office. You will have a good eye for detail and have experience of high-volume processing.

The company offer good working conditions and onsite parking. Working hours 8.00am – 4.00pm, ½ hour for lunch which is a 37.5-hour week
