Accounts Assistant
Salary: circa £23,000 to £25,000
Benefits: Early leave on a Friday, free parking
Location: Grimsby
An extremely busy and successful company is seeking to employ an Accounts Assistant to initially cover maternity leave, but this role will become permanent. It is essential candidates have knowledge with all aspects of sales and purchase ledger, reconciliations, and credit control though this list could well develop. A high degree of accuracy, a proactive work attitude and the ability to manage your workload to deadlines are fundamental qualities this role requires.
THE ROLE
Full time hours, office based, 12 month contract which will become permanent
To complement a large, established accounts team
Manage all aspects of sales and purchase ledger, reconciliations, credit control
Identify, investigate, and resolve account related queries
Ensure all company financial deadlines are accurately met
THE CANDIDATE
You must possess practical experience with purchase & sales ledger, reconciliations, credit control and additional accounting skills would be beneficial
Confidence and accuracy when managing accounts to changing deadlines
Be assertive when liaising with suppliers and colleagues to solve account queries
Ability to foresee potential issues and provide solutions by utilising common sense
