Job Description
My client is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to join their friendly team. Working in a hands-on environment this role requires a confident self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills who can work effectively with all areas of the business, customers and suppliers. You will equally enjoy taking ownership of you own duties with an adaptable approach to business requirements.
Reporting to the Financial Controller it is essential that you can demonstrate experience of having carried out a similar role in order to make a smooth transition into the role.
Key duties will include:
* All aspects of purchase ledger including resolving supplier queries
* Processing expenses
* Processing supplier payments
* Credit card reconciliations
* Raising sales invoices
* Customer refunds and raising credits
* Credit control
* Releasing orders on hold
* Bank reconciliations
* Producing sales reports
* VAT returns
You will have the following skills:
* Knowledge of debits and credits
* Flexible and adaptable approach
* Enjoy being part of a close knit Finance team
* Enthusiastic and keen to add value to the Finance department
