Job Description
HYBRID ROLE
Based in Hove, this established Motor Insurance provider requires a Third Party Property Damage Motor Claims Handler to join their busy and friendly team due to internal promotion. You will be responsible for the management and negotiation of third party property damage motor claims from notification to closure at minimum cost.
Principle Responsibilities
* Ensure all new claims actions are completed
* Review reserves at each touch to the file and amend if appropriate
* Consider liability and if non fault ensure that the recovery process has been put in place
* Where at fault and Third Party have instigated a claim, prioritise Credit Hire Claims
* Where liability is an issue ensure early investigation and contact with witnesses to determine liability and contain costs
* Proactively obtain information and follow up inspections and investigation requests
* Log actions on the memo screen with sufficient information for others to follow
* Ensure all actions/promises are followed up and action diary within agreed timescales
* When advising a Policyholder/Third Party ensure they have a clear understanding of what is required next and timescales are agreed
* Action incoming bordereaux
* Ensure all payments are entered correctly
Hours are 9.00am – 5.30pm, Monday – Friday.
This is hybrid role based both at the office in Hove and from home so ideal applicants will live within a 1 hour commute.
