Job Description
I am currently recruiting on behalf of a chartered accountancy firm who are known as being one of the best around the Hampshire area. They pride themselves on being the leading firm of chartered accountants and business and tax advisers in the region. They can offer a full range of in depth specialist skills throughout the business and have an excellent reputation in this market. Their staff retention is of a high level and the testimonials for the business really show how specialist they are. They are now seeking a tax planning manager to join the growing business, based within Southampton.

You will be employed as a permanent member of the team with the salary ranging between £45k-£50k p/a DOE. Your day to day duties will include: provide pro-active advice internally and externally, maintain knowledge and keep up to date with changes in tax legislation, support the personal tax compliance manager, initiate tax-based marketing initiatives as opportunities arise, provide internal tax technical updates and completing work with directors to deadlines.

You must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role and be CTA qualified or equivalent qualification. You must have experience in personal and business tax matters. They are looking for somebody who is driven, organised, professional and reliable and somebody with excellent communication skills. You need to have good IT skills and be proactive in working alone and meeting deadlines set. They are looking for somebody who is confident and articulate in order to communicate effectively with clients from a range of business sizes.
