Job Description

If so we are recruiting for a full time Tax Administrator to support a very successful accountancy firm based in Worthing, The role will enquire you to be an integral part of the team, supporting the Tax department team at an operational level with a mix of client servicing, business processing and general administration duties.
It would be particularly suited to an individual seeking a long-term senior administrative career ideally with experience of working within the financial sector or an interest to do so.
Responsibilities:
* General administration duties
* Assisting Tax Department with mail merges such as information requests
* Scanning and photocopying client information
* Liaise with clients and partners/managers
* Reformatting / making amendments to documents and ensuring all correspondence filed in the relevant client file
* Ensuring client is contacted to confirm safe receipt; all information is saved in the client folder and confirmation of all submissions to HMRC.
* Maintaining and updating tasks to assist with practice workflow
* Providing back up to reception when required answering inbound calls and transferring to the relevant member of staff
* Opening and scanning post for filing in the relevant client folder
* Ensuring tax department post is sent daily
* Preparing and sending tax return information to be drafted by team.
* Filing tax returns to HM Revenue & Customs.
* Assisting with client take on procedures, contacting new client and sending them relevant HMRC forms, where necessary.
* Ensuring new clients have been authorised with HMRC.
* Sending forms and letters to HMRC, chasing HMRC and making phone calls to HMRC when requested by Partners / Managers
* Assist with reclaims process
* Sending fee statements monthly to clients.
Skills and experience required:
* Ideally 1 year experience working within the financial sector
* Must be highly organised, proactive and a self-starter
* Can work well under pressure and in a very busy environment
* A team player, with active participation in the team, in addition to being able to work on their own as required
* Friendly and helpful with a can-do work ethic
* Flexible and able to prioritise a changing to do list.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Intermediate MS Office, including Excel, Word.
