Job Description
A well-established accountancy practice based in the Cranbrook area of Tunbridge Wells, Kent are eagerly seeking a Senior Accountant to join their accounts team on a full time, permanent basis.
You will be working within a small team within the multiple Partner firm, who have wealth of experience, who's clients range from start ups – larger business's from a broad range of industries. If you are a fully qualified Accountant or finalist, looking for an opportunity that you can grow in and make a real difference to your clients, with future Partner opportunity, this is the role for you.
Senior Accountant Position Overview
The successful Client Accountant will be inheriting an established Client Portfolio and will assist the Partner with securing new business.
The role includes accounts production
Tax compliance and advice for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
VAT returns and supervision of more junior staff
Sage, Xero and Quickbooks and will be required to assist the office in the drive to move clients to cloud based solutions.
Accounts production and review
Management accounts
Submitting Company Accounts
Some bookkeeping and review
HMRC queries and liaising
Maintaining client relationships
Client meetings
Senior Accountant Position Requirements
Demonstrable experience within UK Accountancy Practice
Ideally ACCA or ACCA Part/Full Qualified
QBE encouraged to apply
5 years Minimum accounts experience
Excellent communication skills
Business acumen and personal ambition
Experience with sage 50 and iris advantageous
Senior Accountant Position Remuneration
Salary: £35,000 – £50,000
Working Hours: Full time, permanent
Paid overtime or time off in lieu.
