What’s the Opportunity?

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Modelling Analyst to join #TeamMoneybarn. You will be responsible for driving business performance by delivering high quality analysis and insights on the performance of the IFRS 9 modelling suite and its associated risks.

You will work from home with occasional visits to one of our offices in either Petersfield, London, or Bradford. Our Head Office in Petersfield is situated right next to the A3 and a short 5–10-minute walk from the local town centre and train station.

Using a logical mindset alongside coding and modelling skills you will help shape the future of the team at Moneybarn. Working closely with the Finance and the Credit risk teams to provide support to monitor, maintain, and develop Moneybarn’s IFRS 9 modelling suite. A key element of the role will be supporting with the BAU month-end model runs, whilst also looking for opportunities to develop and continuously improve the performance of the models.

Key responsibilities of a Senior Modelling Analyst?

* Monitor the modelling suite to identify emerging data trends and weakness areas requiring intervention

* Enhance segmentation, and support the model’s manager with model validation findings, internal controls, and model monitoring

* Work with BI/MI teams to understand how we use data and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy

* Provide fast and high-quality analysis explaining the key drivers of outputs from the IFRS 9 modelling suite using SQL, SAS, and Microsoft Excel

* Support regular model recalibrations

What will it take to be a successful Senior Modelling Analyst?

Essential:

* Proficient experience using SQL

* Basic understanding and exposure to SAS (Base/EG/Miner)

* Strong Microsoft Excel skills utilising analytical mindset

* Degree in a numerate or analytical subject or equivalent working experience

* Ability to work to deadlines and delivering practical solutions

Desirable experience, but not essential:

* Previous experience within a credit risk or modelling function
