Senior Finance Business Partner – Reporting

6 months fixed term

£44,748 per annum

Fully Remote

Sellick Partnership are currently assisting in the recruitment of a Senior Finance Business Partner to join a large, well known, not for profit housing association. This is a 6 months contract.

The Senior Finance Business Partner will ensure the delivery of an effective Management Accounting service, with a particular focus on supporting current and future business strategies, business performance, and planning through concise evaluation of current and future financial positions and options.

Responsibilities of the Senior Finance Business Partner will include:

Support the development, implementation and continuous review and improvement in the delivery of the Management Accounting reporting
Support the production of Board and committee reports of a financial nature, including the annual production of the Statutory Accounts
Act as the main point of contact for the Executive and Service Directors and ensure that the service (management accounting reporting) provision reflects the needs of the Directorate
Evaluate current and projected financial/budget data and present meaningful analysis to budget holders setting out budget and scenario options, and advise on their likely consequences to better inform decision making and business planning
Clearly set out medium and long-term financial forecasts to support business planning
Maintain financial records within the Financial Accounting system, including all assets and liabilities relating to the delivery of the service functions

The ideal candidate will:

Have sound overall knowledge of Accounting Regulation and experience in accounting and componentisation of assets within a complex Housing organisation
Be an effective communicator, both verbal and written, including negotiation and influencing skills, with an ability to handle difficult and/or sensitive conversations and queries appropriately
Have the ability to analyse, review and report on complex financial matters such as compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements
Have proven skill in the identification of requirements, recording and analysis of data and information, and identification of solutions
Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills with a high level of skill in the use of IT
