Job Description
CMA are pleased to be exclusively collaborating with a growing company based near Totton, Southampton in the recruitment of a Senior Credit Controller. It's an exciting time to join with the company going from strength to strength during the pandemic and has doubled in revenue during this period.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will help lead junior members in reducing aged debt and improving cash flow. 

The Credit Control role offers great ownership within a close-knit team, and a supportive culture which is very important to them. Hybrid working (1 day wfh) and flexible working hours are also on offer.

What will the role involve?

Creating and upholding payment procedures and policies that ensure timely payment;
Responding to customer queries and resolving disputes to facilitate timely payment;
Keeping customer retention levels high;
Reconciling accounts;
Providing administrative support to finance team;
Keeping close watch on debtor account balances;
Negotiating and setting up payment plans if necessary;
Starting legal proceedings if customers do not pay their debts on time;
Liaising with solicitors;
Maintaining accurate records of all customer contact.
Suitable Candidate:

Working Experience of Sage 50 or 200 Desirable;
Excellent customer service;
Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations;
Analytical skills and thorough attention to detail;
Ability to listen and negotiate with customers;
Excellent communicator both written and verbal;
Persistence and determination;
High service delivery skills;
Familiarity with data entry software;
Ability to work well within a team.
