Risk and Controls Manager – 12 Month FTC Job in Leeds, West Yorkshire

Job Description
Sewell Wallis are currently working on behalf of a successful, well-known business based in South Leeds to recruit for an experienced Risk and Control Manager to join their team.

The role has arisen due to growth and the successful person will initially join on a temporary basis with the view for the position to transition to a permanent post later down the line.

The role will report directly into the Head of Finance and will involve managing 5 other members of staff initially.

The key responsibilities of the role will be:-

* Manage and support the members in the team
* In charge of processing all settlements
* Ensure all payments are processed in line with the correct controls
* Supplier management to make sure that all requirements are met
* Ensure that all banking, risk and controls administration is completed accordingly
* Support the Head of Finance when necessary
* Communicate any problems to relevant contacts in the finance team when required

The ideal candidate will have:-

* Strong experience in risk and processing settlements
* Good understanding of accounting principles
* Previous experience of managing a team
* Ability to communicate efficiently with internal and external contacts
