Job Description
NXTGEN are delighted to be working with a very exciting, well-known company based in the Thetford area who are looking to bring in an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join a growing and evolving team and business. You will be joining the team at a crucial time of growth and will play a key role in developing the Purchase ledger function along with providing support to other team members within the finance team. As Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for dealing with company invoices and play a pivotal role in maintaining relationships with some of the business biggest suppliers. The company has experienced some very positive change over the last few months with new roles being created off the back of an exceptional year of trading, so it is a very exciting time to be coming into the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Processing purchase orders, invoices and payments
Creating new suppliers accounts
Investigating and resolving purchase ledger queries as required
Entering of supplier invoices in a prompt and timely manner
Producing month end BACS reports
Reconciling supplier statements to supplier ledger accounts
Processing employee expense claims
Processing credit card statements

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in an Accounts Payable role but must have experience in a similar finance position as a minimum. In this position, you will play an integral role in the day-to-day processes of the finance team. Because of this, you will be working in a fast-paced environment meaning my client is seeking someone who is able to work well under pressure. You will be working as part of a team and although you must display an ability to get on with your own work, being versatile and offering support to other team members is crucial
