On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Project Manager for a 6-month long contract based in London.

Purpose of the Role:

Reporting to the UK Head of Compliance Programmes and Transformation, the Project Manager is required to lead and deliver projects within the portfolio. The role holder will perform the role of Project Manager for different initiatives as part of Compliance Transformation Programme, delivering a number of strategic initiatives.

As a Project Manager, you will be:

Managing the entire project lifecycle by taking ownership of deliverables against agreed scope, budget, and timeline
Forward planning milestones, tasks, and activities
Identifying, resolving, and escalating risks, issues, and dependencies
Managing project budgets and resources as required
Working with the Project or Programme Sponsors and stakeholders to achieve the project objectives
Creating effective solutions to overcome barriers
Performing Business Analysis to understand the requirements of the Sponsor
Building and maintaining internal client relationships
Supporting the UK Head of Compliance Programmes and Transformation in managing the portfolio including production of MI as requiredWhat we're looking for:

Proven track record and demonstrable experience of managing large projects and programmes (preferably within Financial Services environment)
Proven track record of effectively delivering results in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
Experience of managing significant business change/transformation challenges
High level of interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
Excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills
Strong ability to build relationships and foster business partnering across multiple disciplines, internally and externally
Ability to work independently under own initiative
Ability to manage expectations from a position of knowledge and authority
Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
Outstanding attention to detail
Recognised project qualification (e.g., PRINCE II, MSP, APM, PMP)
Proficiency in Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project
Strong process mapping and data analysis skillsThis client will only accept workers operating via an Umbrella or PAYE engagement model.
