Job Description
M Group Services is recruiting for a Payroll Specialist on 12 a month fixed term basis, to join our Payroll team working from our Head Quarters in Stevenage.

Within this role, you will have the opportunity to take full responsibility for the delivery of expert payroll services to allocated Payroll Divisions operating across a growing number of Group Companies.
As a Payroll Specialist your responsibilities will include:
Support the Payroll Manager in the ongoing development of the team
Assist in the processing of payrolls over different pay frequencies
Ensure the accurate recording and reconciliation of accounting records relating to the Payroll process including all associated Balance Sheet Accounts
Work closely with the Payroll Manager to transition any new business into the Payroll department
Ensure the operational delivery of payroll services to the agreed customer service levels
Overseeing the processing of weekly and monthly Payrolls
Timely management of day to day pay related matters including responding to pay and pension queries
Ensure statutory compliance on all pay related practices and guidance given to customers, keeping abreast of statutory legislation
Compliance with the Data Protection Act and GDPR
Maintain confidentiality and security of any payroll and employee systems, to meet company, legal and statutory requirements
Work with the Payroll Manager and as part of the team to deliver continuous improvements to process
Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
Proven experience of delivering payroll services as part of a team
Proven knowledge of statutory payroll requirements
Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Payroll Module desirable but not essential
Knowledge of implementing a new payroll system and transitioning processes desirable but not essential
Good working knowledge of Excel ideally to intermediate level
Ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet tight deadlines
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Good planning, analytical and problem solving skills
Motivation to develop and maintain internal and external relationships
Positive can do attitude
