Payroll Senior, Epsom

Our client is a firm of Chartered Accountants based in Epsom, Surrey. They have a diverse client portfolio and an excellent reputation for the quality of service. They now seek an experienced Payroll professional with experience of working within an Accounting Practice, to join their firm. 

The role offers lots of variety and you will be working with a wide-ranging client portfolio, including SME's, LLP's and Charities. As Payroll specialist you will enjoy working in a supportive environment working with highly professional and experienced staff. 

The successful candidate will have full responsibility for running the monthly payroll for a wide variety of local clients and will be a main point of contact for any client-related payroll queries.

The main duties include the following:

Managing day-to-day payroll queries

Process and manage payroll for a wide selection of clients with differing numbers of staff within the various businesses

Ensuring all statutory employer responsibilities are met including P45, P46s and work to the relevant legislation including RTI 

Post monthly payroll journal for each individual company and reconcile the individual PAYE/NIC control accounts on a monthly basis 

Calculation of bonuses on a monthly and quarterly basis where relevant 

Completion of end of year payroll returns/records ie P35, P60's, P11d's 

Extensive liaison with HMRC and the individual clients

Ideally, you will have at least 3 years of payroll experience, and whilst working within a Practice or Bureau environment would be advantageous it is not essential. 

Location

Based in Epsom the role is commutable from Kingston, Dorking, Leatherhead, Sutton, Croydon and surrounding areas.
