The company

We have a fantastic new Payroll (& Accounts Payable) Manager role working for a Malmesbury based business. 

The role

The Finance Department are currently looking for an experienced Payroll (& Accounts Payable) Manager to join their team. The role will be supported by an Accounts Payable Supervisor and Payroll Administrator. Reporting into the Head of Finance the role will be responsible for managing the payroll and accounts payable functions.

Duties will include:

Managing a team of two
Managing the end-to-end monthly payroll process
Managing the administration of the monthly pension process
Overseeing the accounts payable processes
Promoting and advocating financial control in respect of the payroll and accounts payable functions
Regular monitoring and reporting of KPIs
Reviewing financial control systems and proposing and implementing changes as required
Working with the Systems Accountant and Finance Systems teams to support systems reviews, updates and enhancements that improve the user experience in relation to payroll and accounts payable
Providing resource and expertise to projects impacting payroll and accounts payable
Supporting the Head of Finance with ad hoc projects and tasks as required
The person

Previous payroll experience
Experience of managing a transactional accounting team (e.g., payroll, accounts payable, sales ledger or cashiering)
Transaction and process improvement experience
Experience of supporting change/transformation projects
Commitment to meeting internal and external deadlines
Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
IT literate
Diligent with excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
Confident communication skills
Able to deal with confidential and sensitive matters
Open and flexible to change
Proactive approach
Salary

to £50,000 plus discretionary bonus, pension, life assurance, private medical and dental, free parking, and 27 days holiday
