Job Description
Payroll Assistant
(Hybrid working – 3 days Onsite and 2 days remote working)
Near Banbury
£28,000 -£32,000 per annum (Dependent on experience)
Our client is looking for a new Payroll Assistant to join their finance team. You will be experienced and capable of payroll processing volume employees in a busy environment.
Responsibilities:
Working for the payroll manager in a team of 3
Processing the payroll for approx. 1,800 employees working in 170 locations which in detail consists of:
Checking overtime and absences and collating information for import
Checking and processing sickness records
Processing payroll starters and leavers including the calculation of part month pay
Processing payroll advances
Dealing with payroll queries from employees
Working closely with HR and operations managers
Payroll balance sheet reconciliations
Requirements:
Attention to detail
Accuracy
Knowledge of PAYE legislation and SSP/SMP/SPP/SAP rules
Previous payroll experience is essential
Previous experience of spread over pay would be desirable
Experience in other accounting functions would also be desirable
