Job Description
To work with and support the Payments and Treasury Manager and Accounts Payable Assistant Manager in both Treasury and Accounts Payable related activities, and ensuring key business critical tasks are effectively maintained.
This role is offered on a hybrid basis of both office based (London) and home working, 40/60 split.
What you’ll be doing:
Vendor relationship management for Funds division, including:
Regular statement reviews
Raising Purchase Orders
Liaising with business contacts to ensure invoices are paid timely
Working with offshore AP team to resolve queries
Updating the Treasury workbench daily for receipts and payments
Completion of daily cash flow reporting
Monitoring the Treasury mailbox
Confirmation to AP payments team that payments have debited
Supporting the Payments and Treasury Manager with daily tasks, especially during holiday leave / busy periods:
Reviewing funding requests for payments and progressing accordingly
Review AP payment files to confirm correct DR accounts etc. have been used
Assisting business stakeholders with Treasury related queries
Reviewing aged POs for Funds and proposing write offs where appropriate
Daily monitoring and updating of manual and urgent payment requests
Maintaining manual payments data logs
Producing MI (management information) reporting (weekly / monthly)
Completion of relevant month end / year end activities
Assisting the offshore Treasury support team with queries
Assisting with payment runs, for example:
Uploading data into the ERP system
Creating payment upload files
Review bank details on invoice vs payment run and contacting business stakeholders where mismatches are found
Processing employee expenses claims ready for payment
Assisting with the supplier onboarding process
What we’re looking for:
A previous background of working in a similar role (AP and / or Treasury) within a finance team
Strong understanding of the E2E Accounts Payable function
Intermediate / advanced excel skills a must
Self-motivated and comfortable with managing own workload, e.g. when working from home
Organised with a high level of attention to detail
Adaptable to change and able to remain calm under pressure
