As our Non-Life Insurance Analyst, you will be part of a team of insurance professionals with an in-depth knowledge of local markets, practices, and regulations, you will be required not only to work in a fast-paced environment undertaking online research for a wide range of insurance topics, but also ensure timely and accurate delivery of insurance information to our clients in various output formats.
Your focus will be on non-Life insurance matters reporting on a multitude of existing and emerging risks and changes impacting the insurance industry.
As our Non-Life Insurance Analyst, you will also be responsible for:
* Working with a group of external consultants to ensure timely and accurate updates of our Non-Life Insurance products. This will include staying abreast of regulatory and legislative changes globally resulting in editing and/or updating our content to incorporate the latest market developments.
* Responsible for researching and analysing a focused set of markets to build up expertise in local insurance regulation, tax compliance requirements and understanding the supervision of the insurance market.
* Conduct secondary research leveraging government bodies, supranational organizations, industry publications and associations, and various news sources.
* Monitoring regulatory changes and creating concise and timely summaries which alert our clients to such events.
* Producing thought leadership pieces on insurance regulation, legislation, supervision, and premium taxation developments.
* Factual checking and editing of our Non-Life products including Insurance Market Reports, Insight Compliance, Regulatory Alerts, etc.
* Assist in handling client enquiries by researching and answering technical insurance questions pertaining to the requirements around the issuance of Non-Life insurance policies and/or the placement of multinational programmes.
* Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions as part of ad hoc projects.
You will also need:
* Excellent technical understanding of Non-Life insurance (previous insurance experience with relevant lines of business e.g., Property and Casualty policies, Professional Liability, Directors’ and Officers’ Liability, Pollution and Environmental Liability, Workers Compensation and Employers’ Liability, Surety, Bonds and Credit, Marine, Aviation and Transit, etc..).
* Strong awareness of the requisites around the placement of insurance policies and general operating requirements
* Previous experience structuring and servicing multinational programmes and some level of familiarity with reinsurance and captives and any other alternative risk transfer mechanisms is highly desirable.
* Ability to assimilate large amounts of data and produce concise summaries in an appropriate format.
* Ability to undertake regulatory intelligence research without supervision.
* Ability to understand and interpret legal text.
* Proficiency in MS Office software (Word and Excel).
* Ability to write and proof-read.
* Additional language skills will be very well regarded.
* Strong administration skills and attention to detail
* Able to seamlessly transfer between working autonomously for long periods of time and engaging collaboratively with the team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
