Job Description
Our clients are looking for a Mergers and Acquisitions analyst to join their team who is based across the UK. It will be a multifaceted role offering exposure to different workstreams, departments and challenges and an opportunity to be part of our clients' exciting growth journey, with a number of live acquisitions and a strong future pipeline.
This is a home-based position.
Key tasks of the Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst will be:
* Directly support the M&A Manager and work closely with the senior management team, including the CEO, CFO and COO to deliver on our clients' M&A strategy and growth ambitions
* Supporting the FP&A (financial planning and analysis) team on key strategic projects
* Assist in target assessment & screening, bid preparation, valuation, and synergy analysis
* Supporting the due-diligence process, including coordination between internal teams and external advisers
* Preparation of Board papers, investment committee memos and other relevant documents
* Manage relationships with brokers and other external agents
* Carrying out market assessments to keep track of investment opportunities and maintain transaction databases
* Work on internal projects on an ad hoc basis, as needed
To be considered for the Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst role, you must have the following:
* Background in investment banking, transaction services, corporate finance, or FP&A
* Knowledge of the financial services sector will be beneficial, but not essential
* Ability and willingness to learn and to be able to work outside of your comfort zone
* Ability to multitask, manage different stakeholders and work on multiple projects simultaneously
* Financial modelling, forecasting & data analysis skills
* Strong communication skills and proficiency in excel, word and PowerPoint
Working hours
* As a Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst you'll be required to work 8:45 am – 5:15 pm Monday to Friday.
* This is a home-based position.
