Job Description
I'm currently working alongside a UK leading business based in Staffordshire in their recruitment of an interim Management Accountant. The role will initially be for a minimum of 3 months with the potential to go perm with the perm equivalent salary being up to £37k based on experience.

I'm currently working alongside a UK leading business based in Staffordshire in their recruitment of an interim Management Accountant. The role will initially be for a minimum of 3 months with the potential to go perm with the perm equivalent salary being up to £37k based on experience.

About the Management Accountant Position:

*Preparation of the weekly P&L and associated KPIs
*Preparation (alongside the core Finance team) of the monthly accounts including in depth commentary and analysis on the performance as well as comparison to key KPIs
*Explanation of variances between the monthly accounts and the expected P&L generated from the weekly reporting
*To prepare to a tight deadline a management accounting reporting pack
*To be responsible for the preparation of the yearly budget plan
*Refresh the financial forecast quarterly to highlight expected performance versus budget
*Act as business partner to the operational management team providing opinion, guidance and support where appropriate
*To undertake cost centre analysis as required as part of the month end process or on an ad-hoc basis

Essential Experience of the Management Accountant:

*Part qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA or QBE
*Experience in manufacturing/logistics/engineering industries would be desirable
*Must have a high-level knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
*Able to start at short notice
*Commercially and operationally astute
*Self-motivated and confident
*Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management
