The role will be part-time (3 days per week) and home based, therefore location is not important to the role although applicants will be expected to travel to the sites as and when required as part of their duties.

Our competitive advantage comes through driving value through innovation and brands, scale, operational excellence and building a high performing international organisation; the ideal candidate for the role of Management Accountant – Supply Chain would be an experienced CIMA/ACCA qualified Finance professional with who will be expected to work under their own initiative. Whilst the applicant will report directly to the Head of Projects & Supply Chain, they will be expected to work closely and forge relationships with personnel from a broad spectrum of other functions. It may also be expected that the candidate may also provide support as required to the Head of Controlling, Manufacturing (HOCM). The role offers an exciting opportunity to get involved in a wide and varied range of activities and projects across the Supply Chain.
Key responsibilities in the role of the Management Accountant – Supply Chain will include:
Business Improvement:
• Support the HOCP&SC with analysis of business results, particularly 3rd Party Manufacture relationships, with a view to providing clear & transparent insight which enables business improvement.
• Working closely with the Commercial team and supporting the HOCP&SC to provide P&L modelling and insight for branded product launch and on-going performance at both a product and customer level.
• Highlight areas of poor performance, control and/or gaps vs targets or expectations and recommend recourse for implementation to address shortcomings.
• Support both the HOCP&SC and HOCM with various projects which may be of a business as usual or a strategic nature.
• Support the delivery of the functional objectives as and when required.
• Support post project appraisals as and when required to provide insight and learnings versus original project assumptions.
Continuous Improvement:
• Seek to identify process improvements in the monthly cycle and analysis of profitability and share knowledge and best practice as appropriate.
• Develop effective cross functional working relationships between Controlling and other business functions. 3rd Party Manufacture relationships:
• Provide insight and clarity regarding the profitability of 3rd Party Manufacture relationships.
• Use SAP as the primary source of data ensuring analysis is reconciled back to systems data and Management Accounts wherever possible.
• Use SAP outputs to review for issues in product costings, BoMs and pricing, actively searching these out and drive resolution in conjunction with the site FCs and central data functions.
• Perform monthly routines to ensure the performance of 3rd Party Manufacture operations is analysed bringing transparency and clarity of performance versus budget and contractual
targets. This should include a monthly mass balance for all 3rd party relationships.
• Identify areas where improvement is required, either from a performance or financial control perspective and recommend solutions for implementation.
Costings:
• Provide costings for tenders and commercial scenarios as required, working in close contact with the various Controlling colleagues and other cross functional teams.
Team Engagement:
• Work closely with other functions such as Commercial, PMO and Operations to provide financial support in the delivery of projects and day to day improvement activities.
• Act as the key point of co-ordination for prime costs within SAP for 3rd Party Manufacture activities.
• Embrace changes in systems and processes and ensure they can be effectively applied in the manufacturing environment.
Budget/Forecast Process:
• Support the HOCP&SC and HOCM throughout the forecast and budget processes as and when required.
Key skills:
• Qualified CIMA/ACCA with a minimum of 2 years PQE.
• Excellent relationship building and communication skills, able to tailor communications to the audience involved.
• Ability to visualise the whole picture and think what next?
• Experience of providing detailed and high-level variance analysis including recommendations for improvement.
• Ability to work with people from both financial and non-financial backgrounds.
• Able to self-review complex data.
• Ability to work on own initiative with a proactive, tenacious and "can-do" attitude and comfortable working in a fast-moving, high-pressured environment with changing priorities.
• A strong team player.
• Strong IT & Systems knowledge and experience, including Excel. SAP experience preferred.
