Job Description
The Team & Focus of the Role
At Fisher German our customers and clients are at the heart of what we do. We have long standing relationships with many of our clients through the generations (some up to 80+ years). This is due to the trust they have in us to deliver what we say we will on time. We are a multi-disciplinary surveying consultancy with a history to be proud of.
We’re looking for a Management Accountant who is an expert and passionate in what they do to join the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Team based in our Head Office, with hybrid working opportunity. This role would suit an individual who has previously worked within a finance/accounting department and who has had experience of building strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
The core purpose of this role is to support the delivery of a wider project by providing management accounting support to colleagues within Fisher German. The role will be based within our Ashby-de-la-Zouch office, it will be full time (Monday – Friday, 8.45am – 5.15pm) however we can be flexible on start/finish times as long as our core hours of 10am – 4pm are covered.
Duties will include:
• Producing relevant and accurate management reporting for the firm month and year end
• Finance business partnering with the Divisions
• Direct involvement in producing the annual budget and forecasts
• Assisting the FP&A team as required with implementation of the finance dashboards and financial planning software
• Ad hoc reports and tasks as required
The successful candidate will have…
• Previous experience in the management accounting type role essential
• Be a strong team player with the ability to work to your own initiative
• The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at various levels across the business
• The ability to translate financial jargon into terms non-finance colleagues will understand
• Excellent communication skills at a variety of levels
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, specifically pivot tables, formulas, v- and h- lookups
• Be comfortable manipulating a large volume of data
• Ability to efficiently manage large workloads
• Strong attention to detail
• Confidence with a friendly personality
• Studying for a professional accounting qualification (desirable)
