Title: Interim Group Finance Manager

Salary: £45,000 – £60,000

OVERVIEW:

Would you like to undertake a one year FTC with one of the UK's best known companies in their area of expertise? The interim Group Finance Manager role will suit a qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified finance professional with strong technical competence and will offer the opportunity of working remotely 3 days per week and 2 days in their stunning new build offices in Hull.

THE ROLE:

Reporting into the Group Financial Controller this role is to provide cover for a 12m period of maternity leave. The successful candidate will play an integral part in compliance, financial control and reporting and upcoming projects will include overseeing the completion of the corporation tax return with the auditors and further developing the internal financial controls, simplifying processes where possible.

Support the forecasting and budgeting process on tax and balance sheet matters, support the month end accounting process for certain balance sheet matters and oversee VAT returns and payments

Lead the group external audit process, prepare the annual statutory accounts, co-ordinate all tax matters with the auditors, support the forecasting and budgeting process

THE CANDIDATE:

You are a fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant with strong technical competence, a high degree of systems literacy (particularly with Excel) and who would like to spend a year working with one of Hull's most successful, privately owned companies well known for their commitment to the area and social conscience

You will need previous experience of preparing statutory accounts, tax and balance sheet control therefore an initial training in professional practice would be desirable

Self motivated and with good time management skills to manage your own workload, you are also a team player and work collaboratively to meet deadlines

You live within a commutable area of Hull to be able to spend 2 days per week in the office and the remaining 3 days can be worked from home. Ideally you are available for a November 2022 start
