Salary: £30,000-£45,000

Do you have experience of remote troubleshooting and onsite support and installation work? Are you confident within IT and technology? Would you like to join a progressive technology company developing innovative software solutions for the maritime and offshore energy domain?

Well, i am recruiting for a Installation and Support Engineer to join my client, an established player in their sector. 

As a multi-skilled support and installation engineer, you will be based in our UK offices either in Lowestoft or Diss, reporting to the Operations Director – Wind. You will become a trusted onsite presence and voice on the phone, backed up by the engineering and 24/7 support teams in Norway, Slovakia and beyond. 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Excellent attitude to Health & Safety

Knowledge of IT and technology in general

Experience of remote troubleshooting, as well as onsite support and installation work

Ability to create Risk Assessments and Method Statements

Ability to work directly with clients, scheduling maintenance visits etc.

Good communication skills

Ability to work as part of a multi-national team as well as independently

Knowledge and exposure to industry communication and sensor technologies, such as VHF, AIS, DMR, CCTV and radar (desired, but not essential)

Hands on approach to documentation

An ability to learn and execute new technical skills as required is extremely important

A full clean driving license, willingness to travel and no barriers to accessing high security sites

Offshore Certifications (GWO desired but not essential)

Experience of working at heights (desired but not essential)

Flexibility with an enthusiastic approach to your work

Ability to travel both nationally and internationally as and when required
