Job Description
Head of Payroll

Diaverum UK Ltd are looking to recruit a Head of Payroll to be based in our Head office in St Albans. The Payroll team is part of Support Service reporting to the HR Director. You will manage the Payroll team and function.

This will be a pivotal role within the organisation ensuring that there is a quality payroll service, and that Compensation is monitored, and Benefits administered. You will ensure that the Payroll is processed in good time and to the required quality.

Head of Payroll Responsibilities:

The role includes but is not limited to; Overall responsibility for allocation and use of the payroll budget; Responsibility for the preparation of all payroll activities including payroll payments, reports and forecasts including tax returns and reports for Government regulatory agencies and payroll management reports; Oversee all accounting procedures and systems used by the organisation; Review of any reports; Implement and design compensation packages; Compliance to legislation and to lead and train the Payroll team. You will also need to ensure effective relationships are in place with stakeholders and other areas of the business.

Head of Payroll requirements:

You will have a proactive approach and payroll qualification and demonstrable experience in a similar environment (multi-site, fixed and variable pay etc.). You will have excellent communication skills and have worked closely with the HR and Finance functions. Experience of managing a team and a thorough understanding of payroll and financial management obligations is required along with the ability to work to deadlines.

Type of role: Permanent Full-time, 37.5 Hrs

Location: St Albans UK (Time split between office based and home working)

Salary range: £45,000 to £55,000 plus 15% bonus

Company benefits include 35 days holiday, perk box, and pension.

Car parking is available at the office and is also situated close to bus and rail links.
