Group Reporting Accountant Job in Reading, Berkshire

Job Description
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Group Reporting Accountant to join a leading multimillion pound organisation, working on a hybrid pattern from their Reading office.

As the Group Reporting Accountant, you will play a key role in helping the organisation to meet its various statutory and regulatory obligations and promote best practice with respect to financial reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the delivery of interim and year end reports for a listed company.
Preparation of disclosures for interim statements and annual report.
Responsible for disclosures, technical aspects and production of statutory accounts for subsidiary companies.
Completion of iXBRL tagging of the statutory accounts.
Monthly management accounts.
Support in the external audit for group and statutory reporting – key point of contact for detailed queries.
Ownership of IFRS 16 lease accounting for the group.
Ownership of intercompany accounting.
Oversight of provisions for the Group, including managing budget to actuals on key projects.
Assistance in month end close, with both preparation and review of journals.
Review of current process and seek continuous improvement.
Assist in the implementation of UK SOX controls and documentation as required.
Ad hoc projects as they arise.Skills & Requirements:

ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
Statutory accounts preparation experience
iXBRL tagging
Monthly management accounts
IFRS 16 knowledge
