Job Description
Excellent interim Group Financial Controller opportunity, to work with FTSE listed market leader in its field, based Hertfordshire.

This high-profile role reports into the Finance Director and offers great exposure to the CFO and other executive members. Working for a FTSE150 Group will give the opportunity to understand all aspects of the business and own external reporting. You will work closely with our UK and overseas finance teams to deliver high quality reports and improve processes.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage the quarterly, half yearly and annual reports process together with compilation of supporting documentation
Preparation and consolidation of the monthly group management accounts, including liaising with senior managers and Executive members for submission to the Board.
Manage the UK Management Accounts team of 5
Managing the external audit whilst being a key point of contact for technical queries
Assisting on group corporate treasury matters including the management of cash flows and Carbon reporting
Assisting with preparation of analysis and other ad-hoc presentations and analysis for the CFO, Finance Director and senior management team.
Understanding new accounting standards and assessing the impact to the group and presenting to the audit committee

PERSON SPECIFICATION

In depth knowledge of the group reporting, consolidation process and external reporting, in a PLC environment (essential)
Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), with significant post qualified experience.
Strong academic background
Ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines
Ability to implement and improve existing processes
Commercial acumen and the ability to contribute to the overall business strategy overtime.
Strong excel skills (Vlookups and pivot tables minimum)
General Microsoft office skills, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
