Job Description
Experienced Finance Manager required to work as a financial lead for a fast-growing group of construction businesses based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire on a full time, permanent basis.

The successful Accountant will be accountable for all financial aspects of the group's businesses, including the preparation of consolidated monthly management accounts / commercial report, financial forecasts and cashflow management. This is an excellent opportunity to implement financial processes and procedures to gradually bring more of the accounts work back in house from the chartered accountants.

Group Finance Manager Position Overview

Managing and organising the businesses monthly commercial reporting process and reconciling with monthly management accounts:
Commercial reports
CIS returns
VAT returns
Financial forecasts, P&L and cashflow management
Overseeing and line managing a team of 3 Accounts Assistants
Ensuring cost reports can be cut-off on time, CVRs are prepared on time, other commercial reports are prepared on time
Collate all reports into master commercial report / management account per business ready to be reporting into directors

Group Finance Manager Position Requirements

5+ years finance construction background / experience
Strong experience on sage 50 or 200 is imperative.
Able to undertake and submit CIS returns, VAT returns, monthly management accounts
AAT Level 4 qualified or equivalent, ACCA, CIMA Qualified or Part qualified highly advantageous
Prior experience as a Finance Manager, Accounts Manager, company accountant or Finance Director within the construction industry.

Group Finance Manager Position Remuneration

£40,000 – £55,000 dependant on skills and experience
KPI related bonus'
Ideally office based, happy to offer flexibility for WFH for two days per week
8.30 – 5.30 Monday – Friday
20-25 days annual leave + bank holidays – dependant on the individual
Holiday rising 1 day per year after 2 years service to a maximum of 25
