Group Accountant, FTSE100 FMCG, Central London, £60k + Benefits

We are working with a leading FTSE100 PLC who are looking for a Group Accountant to join their HQ. This Multi-Billion-pound FMCG powerhouse has seen sustained growth alongside having an outstanding reputation within the industry.

The Group Accountant will be responsible for the accounting and the business partnering of the Group's Property Portfolio. This portfolio is growing, continuously acquiring property yet also disposing of sites to optimise the Group's profit.

You should look forward to understanding and tackling technical accounting questions and challenges. But also enjoy business partnering with the finance teams both within the UK and internationally alongside different areas of the business e.g. Property, Legal and other non-finance divisions.

This is a brilliant role for a recently qualified accountant seeking a role that has wonderful visibility, breath, and scope to take ownership over the group's property portfolio in a Listed FMCG business.

Responsibilities

You will have ownership of the month-end process for the Property Portfolio, including the annual budgeting and re-forecasts.
Business partnering the Group Property team on new property acquisitions as well as supporting the team on disposals
Business partnering with legal and other teams as required, on transactions, period
end reporting, budgeting and forecasting
Preparation of the statutory accounts
Support senior leadership with the provision of management information

Ideal Candidate

ACA/ACCA/CIMA recently qualified accountant
Strong technical accounting acumen; IFRS16 and IFRS101
Brilliant communicator, able to business partner effectively at all levels across finance and non-finance
