Financial Controller – Property Development Job in Leeds, West Yorkshire
Job Description
Due to continued growth a Financial Controller is required for a privately-owned property development firm which focus on the rental market. The Financial Controller will take charge of all accounting and reporting for a number of developments, driving these projects through their lifecycle.
This is an ideal position for someone with Property accounting experience or a qualified accountant seeking a first move from practice.
Responsibilities
For all projects, producing monthly and quarterly management accounts and reporting packs
Creating forecasts and cash management
Reviewing of all tax returns and compliance, including VAT, CIS and corporation Tax
Preparation of statutory annual statements within deadlines
Reporting to JV partners
Point of contact for the bank including the cost/benefit analysis of bank funding options
Working regularly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders
The accounting system is Xero and the financial controller will oversee an experienced bookkeeper. The role is based in Leeds city centre with flexible working. This is a fast paced commercial business with the opportunity to become their future FD and to build a finance team around you.
